Originally from Chicago, IL, Laurence learned at a young age that we couldn't leave it up to our politicians in government alone to protect the basic civil rights and civil liberties that we all value. This is why he founded the Truth and Justice foundation back in 1984 - initially a local group aimed at protecting the wrongfully accused in the greater Chicago area, which quickly grew to a national and now international presence.
When Laurence isn't criss crossing the globe, standing up for the rights of those who need him, he enjoys gardening and handball. He has three kids with his wife, Wendy.
